Michael Palin: ”Been painful to follow Terry Jones dementia” – Aftonbladet

– Terry J has been my closest friend and colleague for over 50 years. The development of his dementia has been painful to follow. The news of his aphasia, which gradually deprives him of the opportunity to speak, it is terrible that can happen to someone who enjoys words, jokes, arguments and stories are the most important thing in life, he writes.

Palin points out that Jones still has a social life and that he spends a lot of time with his family, but also friends.

” I met him just two days ago for one of our regular dinners at his local pub. Terry does not say much but he smiles, laughs, recognizes and reacts. I am always glad to see him. Hope it stays that way, writes Michael Palin on Facebook.
