The singer Carola says in “Summer in P1″ about how she ended up behind bars when she helped refugees on the Greek island of Kos.
At one point, when she would take in refugees who arrived by boat, she discovered some people who tried to steal a boat motor. Carola snatched engine, sat in a jeep along with eight refugees from Pakistan and went to the police.
– Those who were after the engine was insane and started to chase me.
Carol hoped that everything would work out with the police.
– There, lying thieves and pointed me out as a thief. I had eight Pakistani refugees in the car and we were thrown in jail, everyone.
Carol was alleged to have received money to drive the Pakistanis, and when she protested, she ended up in jail.
Some Carola was released hours later.
