The small town in Romania Bogata suddenly noticed an increased interest among tourists earlier this week. The reason?
The rapper Snoop Dogg, who was in Bogota in Colombia happened to enter the wrong geotag when he posted a selfie on Instagram.
They quickly took advantage of the mistake and soon had the new website “Visit Bogata” emerged online. “Snoop Dogg checked in Bogata, Mures, by mistake – but it should not be necessary,” it says in capital letters on the new tourist site.
On Friday Snoop Dogg himself realized his miss and made a new post – where he once checked in, or geotagged, the Romanian resort of Bogata.
“Shout out to my fans in Romania. Tha Boss Dogg is coming soon! “He wrote then together with the hashtag #visitbogata.
