For more than two years ago forced the original Debaser slam ports to accommodate the large redevelopment of Slussen . Today came the news that even Debaser at Civic Square will be forced to close because the Civic Hall, where the club so far housed, to be renovated.

When Medborgarhuset the reopening of three years will Debasers current premises instead of libraries.

SvD’s music critic Sara-Märta Höglund think it is a shame to Stockholm loses one of its more niche-oriented scenes.

– It is especially sad because there are too few medium-sized concert halls in Stockholm, she says.

Sara-Märta Höglund think Debaser Slussen was more unique as a club, but the club at the Civic Square has done well with their bookings.

– Such bookings may not fill some stadiums, and they have been pretty lonely on to bring in the kind of band that you really want to see.

In posts on Debasers website writes Debasers CEO Annelie Telford looking for new premises in the city, but she has no confidence that it will succeed.

“We offer replacement venue for the restaurant business in the new Civic Centre, scheduled to open at the end of 2018 at best, and we are happy, but we will not be able to have concerts there, and that is precisely the inner city are deficient in, “she writes.
