Bioflopp for Sofia Vergara’s new movie – Swedish Dagbladet

The new action-comedy “Hot Pursuit”, with Vergara and Reese Witherspoon in the lead roles, drew unexpected bit of money during its opening weekend in the US. The movie played in nearly 109 million dollars in the 3003 movie theaters where it was shown – a disappointment for the film company who had expected 150 million or more.

– In terms of our expectations were a little weaker than we had hoped says Warner Bros. chief Jeff Goldstein.

The film has been cut by the critics, which is believed to have affected revenue.

– It went better in the South and in small towns. It underperformed the review sensitive markets in the East, says Goldstein.

Best of all the movies in the United States at the weekend was once again “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Superhero roll recorded 636 million kronor, which is the best figure in film history for a second weekend.
