Snoop Dogg in the anti-gun campaign – Västerbotten Folkblad

Snoop Dogg has taken on a leading role in a campaign to disarm the US, writes The Independent.

The rapper, who a few years ago did the song “No guns allowed”, is a prominent figure in American anti-gun campaign “I’m Unloading”.

“Gun violence has influenced me over the years by friends, family and acquaintances who have been killed. I will discharge for the loved ones I lost, “says Snoop Dogg in a statement.

The campaign urges the public to demand that their service pension shall be free from investments in arms companies. It is also supported by actress Margot Bingham and basketball player Matt Barnes.

Snoop Dogg himself was sentenced in 2007 to a conditional if for illegal possession of weapons. 1993 he was additionally charged with murder but was acquitted.
