False TV technician fraud prosecuted – Västerbotten Courier

The 16-year-old and his older brother pretended to be television repairmen and came in at several elderly people in Gothenburg. When they would get paid, they managed to defraud both credit cards and code – and then emptied the victims’ accounts.

Now indicted 16-year-old for 20 cases of aggravated fraud and attempted aggravated fraud.

– The older brother has been arrested in the past. 16-year-old has been missing but have now surfaced and can be prosecuted, says prosecutor Asa Askenbäck.

The duo have called for the victims and announced that the TV needed updating. Subsequently, one of the brothers come to the house to fix the TV. “Repairman” has been TV owner to disclose both card and code so that payment could be arranged.

Overall, the brothers managed to get over nearly 150 000 from different accounts. According to the lawsuit deed is rough because “the procedure was characterized by planning and cunning and been systematically by the reiterated on numerous occasions.”
