Betting companies’ favorite for the literature prize – Gothenburg Post

The same day that the Nobel Prize in literature is announced out has Haruki Murakami lost the top spot in the betting sites.

Instead, now the Kenyan writer Ngugi Wa Thiong’o overtaken the Japanese Murakami. According Braodds.com who collects the largest betting sites are the lowest odds of 3.75 and maximum of 5.

Earlier in the week, Murakami held steady in the top. In third place according to the betting sites are Ukrainian Svetlana Aleksijevitj which was touted peak last year.

Ngugi wa Thiong’o was born in 1938, he began his writing career in English but now writes on the Kikuyu language.
