SVT has a new CEO. It’s Hanna Stjärne replacing outgoing Eva Hamilton.

It’s SVT s Chairman Karin Celsing which was responsible for recruitment.
– I am very pleased to announce that Hanna Stjärne new at SVT. She is an experienced journalist with deep roots in public service, she says.
Hanna Stjärne comes from work as chief editor and managing director of Uppsala Nya Newspaper. She says that she is pleased and honored mission and look forward to taking the next step with the staff.
– With me in the mission I have, among other things, a wide experience in software development, a strong digital background and a deep knowledge of the media landscape changes both within the public service and on the commercial side, she says.
Hanna Stjärne has a long background in public service, including as head of P1 and program director, she has also been a foreign correspondent and Home Manager at echo.
She has been awarded the Great Journalist Award for his digital culture journalism and named Sweden’s best media manager. In a great number of years, Hanna Stjärne also been chairman of the Investigative Journalists guldspade jury. She will assume her new position within six months.
