Lady Gaga invited to the Globe konstrejv – Expressen

Lady Gaga invited to rave on Globe.

Balloon Dances, confetti cannons, laser shows and neon colored plastic clothes doing what they can.

But techno party is a thinly disguised cover for what the superstar really seem to want to do.

When I saw Lady Gaga on Born This Way Ball tour in 2012, I left the Globe with black mascara streaks along the cheeks.

So did most people.

But, as surprising as the tears came then, equally distant sounds now.

For what I take me out from Lady Gaga’s artrave: The artball tour is a shrug and an uncertain feeling in the stomach that everything is not right.

When did the world’s biggest pop star mincemeat of emotional life on the audience with his madness, musicality and intimate relationship with their little monster (as the fans are called).

Now the madness is replaced by a dutiful summary of what used to be the artist Lady Gaga.

It feels sad.

Much is understood there: Thongs of leather and illgrön wig. A seahorse shaped keytar. Around 20 dancers. A pause in which she offers up a fan and sings “Born This Way” with her sob Spirit at his side. A speech about everyone’s right to be proud of himself.

Highlights like “Bad Romance” in konstrejvets characters.

But it’s like when you do a musical of an artist’s life, or when it is set up tribute shows to historic band glory.

And Lady Gaga is only 28, her career spans pluttiga eight years.

It is not the time to thank individually than .

Sure, it’s hard for Lady Gaga to shock at a time when there are 21 year olds who quit their shows by riding on a giant sausage.

But it is as if she does not give time to their own songs, some of 2000s biggest hits. Everyone is given democratically equal attention and care. She sings not even that good.

“When I was writing this record, I felt so bad that I had to lose myself in the hard, colorful music.”

When Lady now finds passion, it is curiously in the mature coat “You and I”. As if she does not feel comfortable at Ravet she was invited to, but would rather sit back as a Bruce Springsteen or maybe even more of a preachy U2 in one-woman version.

Neither scene in the beautiful underwater theme or the refreshing 90′s clothes and she poptechnon fläskar on with at the end should remedy that feeling.

Elvis Costello | Lorensbergsteatern, Monday – Gothenburg Post

Singer / songwriter

Elvis Costello

Lorensbergsteatern, Monday

Best: The Song , enthusiasm, stories

Worst: He did not play the Little Palace.

Audience: Crowded

Elvis Costello storms into, well actually just storms onto the stage and blurts out the (Angels wanna wear my) Red Shoes 1977 In dark pink jacket, tight jeans and the usual hat he takes its natural place in front of the six established guitars.

Costello beats briskly from the bouncy versions of Opportunity as well as Veronica and send a greeting to Ron Sexsmith before he makes a soft, simple Everyday I write the book. It’s audience wooing of more pushy kind but done with so much clarity that it is impossible to blame Elvis Costello for taking the easy way out or emphasize the grain.

This tour, this show is presented as an evening where Costello on their own to play songs from his entire career spiced with tributes to his musical heroes. All this he does, but where I probably still expecting me a pleasant guided tour of the celebrated want something different. Filled sixty Elvis Costello would be able to treat themselves to wax nostalgic, but it’s like he rather meet us in the middle of the step.

He takes itself seamlessly from a puttrig interpretation of Nat King Cole Walking my baby back home, via a looped guitar in Watching the Detectives and on to the piano. There, he first gives us a rapturous Everybody’s crying mercy and then a skinless Ship Buildning.

Costello sings with an intensity and attack that impresses and concerns. He pry up the winding, dizzying låtbyggen from his many different guitars. Well, I would think that the word sometimes gets a little static, and that the songs are too convoluted for its own good.

But Elvis Costello is a master who knows never to paint himself into a corner. Full track as he has both its own expression and their increasingly detailed musical map. Few others have such a breadth of musical acts, yet with a consistent voice.

Costello twitches and knixar through songs, tells fine stories – I’d love to have even more of them – and in the end he hangs on the electric guitar and come oxygen into the old theater hall with newly written The Last of year of my youth. Last of all, Jimmie Standing in the Rain / Brother can you spare a dime as he did at Skavlan earlier this week. A final soulful roar out of the stalls and the standing ovation is well deserved.

Robin Paulsson and Sanna Nielsen is the host of the Eurovision Song Contest. – Helsingborgs Dagblad

Robin Paulsson and Sanna Nielsen is the host of the Eurovision Song Contest.

– We are so happy and proud to present Sanna Nielsen and Robin Paulsson as the host of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, they are differently veterans and rookies in the context, but common to them both is their heat capacity to spread the joy and the habit of taking a large audience, says Christel Tholse Willers, Director of Eurovision Song Contest 2015, in a press release.

Sanna Nielsen is the youngest ever to have been number one on the Swedish charts. She has released eleven CDs and last spring was the seventh time that she participated in Melodifestivalen as she sang his way to victory with the song “Undo” button. In May, she represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest and came in third place.

Even Robin Paulsson debuted early. He was 18 years old when he started his career as a stand up comedian. Two years later he was named the most fun in Skåne on P3′s humor festival and in 2004 for “Best Newcomer” at the Swedish Stand-Up Gala. Two years later, he got his own talk show on SVT Robins. 2011 and 2012 was Robin presenter for Swedish Sports Gala in SVT.

Johanna Hagström: Security can not be – Gothenburg Post

Nielsen’s and Paulson’s glitzy skills will go home in the TV sofas. But it is a bit boring.

It will be hell presenter of Eurovision. The latest programs leading duo Nour El Refai and Anders Jansson will always be associated with “fiasco-year” of 2014, when the country’s largest programs received 800,000 fewer viewers in the finals the year before.

Not that it was their error. An itinerant programs monsters Melodifestivalen always come to a point where the spectacle feels stagnant. But with hindsight, could the festival people say that an “edgy” and a little mismatched programledarpar maybe was not the right way to go. Sorry.

I had Valentine liked to SVT this time gone even further, tossed into the sisters Bianca and Tiffany Kronlöf, historieätarna Lotta Lundgren and Eric Hague or why not Kristina Calm in pairs with Björn Gustafsson.

It had gotten me to sit glued to the television six Saturdays in a row.

Instead invest SVT for security, light, warmth, humor and even more security. It is not experimenting with the Eurovision Song Contest.

Robin Paulsson has been asked several times before and was a lågoddsare as hostess. As a talk show host, he has had the misfortune to work in a time where Fredrik Skavlan totally dominated genre, but Paulsson has of course all that is needed to lead a wide televised entertainment program, in addition, he is like that right prankster fun.

Sanna Nielsen sharper than you might think. I interviewed her this spring and she is anything but a wimp. To throw out and make her very first television program leadership performance in the Eurovision Song Contest is courageous bordering on foolhardy.

On the other hand, she has plenty of stage experience and a voice that will carry through, which show numbers anytime. We can count on that cold it gets plenty of that to attract back viewers.

Paulsson and Nielsen will of course make an excellent contribution. Will it be innovative, obscure and exciting? Hardly. Will it be glittery, småroligt and secure predictable? All times.

And maybe it’s just what people need in surmörka February. But it is a bit boring.

Moa Samuelsson writes about Estonia – Gothenburg Post

Sunday, September 28th is the 20th anniversary of the passenger ferry M / S Estonia sank. In reportage Ripples on the water, we get by Moa Samuelsson meet people who became a part of the event. A book about sadness – and hope.

On board the ferry which sank in bad weather between Utö Finnish and Estonian island of Hiiumaa were 989 people, 852 were killed. One of those who survived were Moa Samuelson’s mother, Anita Persson Aviators. Mom Anita went with his staff on the conference, nine were killed at the Estonia, three survived and came home to Stockholm. She tells of the struggle in the cold water:

“Then out of nowhere comes – a hand. A stretched, strong, purposeful hand, inside the raft. There’s someone there. Someone who wants to lift me up . But I’m stuck. Wait. disappearance not, I have to try to get loose. knotted rope, what have I done., I have buzzed me down. So, now I’m free. Attempts together. pulling fight. And so completely suddenly inside the raft full of water. ”

– I wrote the book primarily because my mother would tell her story in her own way. When one is involved in such a major disaster, it will be easy so that you end up in the hands of others, and people make their own interpretation of why it has survived. Therefore, it has been very important for the mother to tell that everyone did their best to help each other. It was thanks to many people’s co-operation that she survived, says Moa Samuelsson.

– While of course I am a journalist and contemporary historian and wanted to know more and to hear other people’s stories told directly by those who attended. About how it felt then and how their thoughts about the event go today, twenty years later.

The book is a sort of documentary. It contains nine stories, written in the first person. No analyzes and facts enumerations but stories of people with different perspectives in different ways were involved.

Among others tell the then Swedish Prime Minister Ingvar Carlsson how he as leaders handled the unexpected disaster.

Journalists Karin Sword and Christina Jutterström are two other voices. Jutterström, which in 1994 was editor of the Daily News and later was included in the analysis group that was appointed by the government to examine the Swedish government’s work after the Estonia disaster.

Karin Sword lost his father in the accident and tells both of their grieving process and how she went on to make a documentary about the ferry disaster.

We also get to meet a rescue swimmer, a crewman from a rescue, survivor Sara Hedrenius and a priest, who took care of the bereaved after the disaster.

Moa Samuelsson says also its own history. She was 18 years old when the Estonia sank. She will never forget that moment in the early morning when she drowsily pick up the phone and hear a voice say, “Your mother has survived. She is in hospital in Mariehamn, but she’s alive.”

– The first time I concentrated me to help my younger siblings. In periods I have struggled with panic attacks but today I am a very fearless person.

Ripples is a collaboration between Moa Samuelsson and photographer Bobo Olsson. And the pictures will take great location.

– Above all it is a peppery spirit book on grief which shows that it is possible to proceed from the most gloom. There will a new light. I want it to feel bad to read this book and feel supported, Moa says Samuelsson.

.

Fact: Moa Samuelsson
Occupation: Journalist and author.
Born: 1975
Lives: In Stockholm.
Family: daughters Cornelia age 17, some 15 years, and Betty 4 years.
Current: With the books ripple effect. Stories from the Estonia disaster and hey, Creative home.

The book can lift Nisse Hellberg – Aftonbladet

Although the Nisse Hellberg is a Swedish rock music’s most successful careers feels he is still a bit underrated.

A new book can hopefully change that picture.

“History of the Nisse Hellberg & amp; Wilmer X “is something as unusual as a thorough, exhaustive and at long times very entertaining Swedish rock biography. Especially as Hellberg and co-author Mike Sjöblom has been careful that it should not be commodified and beautiful painting.

Anyone who knows anything about Hellberg know he is not only one of the both the most successful and longest surviving in the Swedish popbranschen.

Wilmer X began to creak for about ten years ago found the singer-songwriter quickly a way to reinventing herself as a solo artist, without really budge an inch from the mix of traditional blues, rock’n’roll and pop that has always characterized his songwriting.

Anyone know anything about Hellberg also know to his strong vision and desire are not always made him so easy to work with, which the members of the Wilmer X – during the 80s and 90s, one of the country’s largest and undoubtedly the best rock bands – to varying degrees experienced.

The book tells almost as much about the male group dynamics Metallica The film “Some Kind of Monster”. Clearly revealed how a long series of small decisions and some inability to communicate slowly let rust in the once happy reveling machinery.

In particular, we get through generous amounts of Hellberg’s own anecdotes, photos and drawings a very good picture of why he became a great artist he was.

We face cord child in the 70s Malmo who devote lots of time to have the safe but boring for himself during the Marc Bolan – and The Rolling Stones -affischerna in the boys room. The boredom begets dreams that become crystal clear full color vision of rock’n’roll and by equal parts disappointment, lucky coincidences and hard, pigheaded job turns into a solid career.

And whoever perchance not already realized it offered this deal of evidence that the 55-year-old also belongs to the Swedish music’s most articulate and insightful figures.

One of the book’s best pieces is a long conversation between Hellberg and Sydsvenskans By T Ohlsson that glides seamlessly between the First World War, BB King Wagner , Obamacare, foam gnomes and Chuck Berry .

No yummy rock’n’roll history “- Skånskan.se

This weekend is the musician and lyricist Nisse Hellberg in a completely new environment. At the Book Fair in Göteborg will he present his and Mike Sjöblom’s book History of the Nisse Hellberg & amp; Wilmer X. Although the environment, he is careful to emphasize that he is not a writer.
– This is my story as told in the form, I told Mike.

25 five-hour narrative divided into sessions of three hours at a time is the basis for the book. Plus stories from many others involved in Wilmer X and Nisse Hellberg’s music career.
– I have decided to do a bit of that in Lasse Holmqvist old television program This is Your Life, explains Nisse Hellberg. We invited people who may give his version of the story. Additionally, there are parallels to making music. Then you have to have a team around him, you can not play all the instruments himself. And I had just said, and no one said anything critical, for example, then had my whole history been like slipping into a prawn sandwich.

The idea for a book about Nisse Hellberg and Wilmer X originally came from journalist and author Mike Sjöblom and initially was Nisse Hellberg hesitant about the idea.
– I did not know who Mike Sjöblom was and I was a bit skeptical but it was soon apparent that he had a good attitude. He had a dry style editor, a low profile. And he has not really put so much questions, more said that “now I had thought that we would talk a little about the 80′s,” then I’ve got to tell you.
Self reads Nisse Hellberg not so much books about music but happy about people – as well as musicians such as actor.
– I’ve read some biographies of musicians, of course, but in recent years it has become much history. Then, for example, Elvis my big idol and him, I have read many books on.
History of Nisse Hellberg and Wilmer X imagines Nisse Hellberg will be read by those who are interested in him and his music but hopefully more of too.
– I have pondered some of it is interesting. There’s no yummy rock’n’roll history à la Guns and Roses. But perhaps the most interesting because of it. It is a more unobtrusive history. I wanted to find the inner drama, what drove me. There’s also a picture of the rock artists who are so macho – I want to develop a picture of me that almost unsociable and shy.

Some more book will not be for Nisse Hellberg in the near future. He came with a disc spring that he still tours with and he has a side project.
– We call ourselves Bo-dogs and playing dirty garage rock – 14 songs in 32 minutes. This is something I’ve dreamed about a long time and we are releasing an album in a little low-key shapes in the fall and then we’ll see what happens. And it would at some point in the future become a book solely by Nisse Hellberg will be no thick novel.
– I have to learn the craft first serve basis. I have in themselves written some articles, it would be something maybe a collection of essays is closest at hand.

Winfrey in mourning – Day Taylor’s death – Expressen

Malin Winfrey and the family is in mourning.

Ex-Man Day Taylor, who she has children Christopher and Love together with, has tragically passed away.

– I will remember him as my hero and role model, says the son.

A week ago died Day Taylor , just 51 years old.

With Malin Winfrey got the former dancer Taylor Day two children: Son Christopher , 27, and daughter Love , 24.

For Expressen tells Christopher about missing his father.

– I will remember him as my hero and role model. But also as an incredibly loved person by many people. He has always been a source of energy and mainstay for all us kids, he says.

Christopher and his sister, Love, grew up in Järvsö with mom Malin Winfrey – but visited his father in Stockholm every other week.

Was always fun

– Dad and I have always had a very good relationship, even though I grew up in Järvsö along with my mom and bonus dad Tommy. But when my sister and I love to visit him every other week in Stockholm, we had always a lot of fun together. Since then, we worked together at the Daily News and we were together every day for two years, which I’m very grateful for.

Christopher had contact with his father as late as the day before Day died.

– I and my family have been an incredible support of loved ones. And we all miss him very much, says Christopher.

In the 80′s Day Taylor was one of the most successful dancer and performed with, among others, Emilio and Vito Ingrosso .

Malin Winfrey met Day when he danced behind her mom Barbro “Lill-Babs” Svensson .

Did Winfrey for 29 years

Malin Winfrey also talks about the grief.

– Day and I have known each other for 29 years so it’s a long time. We were very young parents with all that implies. And we got two amazing kids together. Day was the one who introduced me to exercise and later this morning when I did my squats, I thought of it. Strange is not it … He was my constant PT, says Malin Winfrey.

Her death is a heavy loss for Malin. Day lived, as she, in Mallorca.

– the day was the most beautiful man I have ever met. With a smile that was impossible not to be infected. Our relationship was very good the last five years, then we ended up a little in the same place in life. He was so happy to move to Mallorca and I was obviously overjoyed that he was here for our common children’s sake. He will be incredibly missed by so many, says Malin.

Each artist and manager

Malin try to be there for their children, to help them get through the difficult grief they find themselves.

– I talk to them every day several times a day and the most important thing I can do now is to be here on location in Mallorca where their father still says Malin.

Day worked additionally as a solo artist, and was for a period the manager for Alina Devecerski and Alice Gernandt (Ace Wilder).

– On later years, he worked in sales at the Daily News and started a private consulting firm, says Christopher.

Why Day passed away is still not clear, the autopsy that is expected to provide answers lingers.

– We know there was a pathology involved. But at present we do not know much about it, says Christopher.

Day Taylor was 51 years old. He is survived by children Christopher, Love, Niki , 15, and Noelle , 10th

The boy with the gold pants – Gothenburg Post

Drama

The boy with the gold pants

Director: Ella Lemhagen

By: Luke Holgersson, Olle Krantz, Nina Sand , Shanti Roney, Jimmy Lindström, Annika Hallin etc.

Sweden, 2014 (99 min)

The Mountain King, Biopalatset

The new version of the boy with gold pants have a high recognition potential for Göteborg.

Those gold pants fascinated me immensely when I was small, after watching the TV series and read Max Lundgren’s book. The pants appeared in dreams and daydreams: Imagine just shove your hand in your pocket and pull up the bill after bill, in a never-ending stream. Swimming in the money, giving away money, buy what you want … Stop poverty, help those who are starving. But what if it was illegal? And where did all the money really come from?

The Beatles sang can not buy me love , while the boy Mats pulled out another note from his pocket and tried to put up with his hopeless father Tocken . Meanwhile, when the euphoria over the pants magic subsided, book boy was hit by the pain-in-the-stomach-inducing realization: that no money in the world is able to subdue the pain in your chest when your parents do not care.

While the movie holds several strong, parallel tracks. It presents the rich class society swindler in contrast to a knocked-puncher. The pants cash flow is a tale of greed and gluttony that eventually lands in sharp konsumtionskritik.Thrilleraktigt exciting it will be when the police, banks and various shady characters are in search of Mats but especially his gold pants. Heartbreaking drama created when the boy unceremoniously dumped by her mother with her self-centered journalist father.

Who could be more suited to explore, and try to merge, all of this than the director Ella Lemhagen? Ever since his debut in 1996 with the drama Prince Charming – The movie about Em , she has sensitively told from the perspective of children and adolescents. Always with a critical eye toward the adult world bigotry. And always with asgrymt soundtrack. So even here, in the evocative collaboration with composer Fredrik Emilson.

The adventure is visually captivating and becomes, after a somewhat slow start, more and more breathtaking as the chase escalates. The main characters are nicely castade by veteran Maggie Widstrand, but the game remains sometimes somewhat unresolved. Shanti Roney do well as bewildered father while Annika Hallin as resolutely SAPO-head pointing with the whole hand. Most fervent Jimmy Lindstrom in his work as bag lady Zeke together with knähunden Batman is given a significant role. Harald Hamrell, original series Mats, also glimpsed past the police.

Gothenburgers film has high recognition potential environments from hotels worldwide and the port is recognized. The adventure has been modernized in every possible way: instead of tens comes first 100-piece, then 500 pieces and thousand krona banknotes out of his pants. Mats have made new friends and they revel more in toys and video games than in ice cream. Soon, the inventive teenagers both fiscal police economic crimes authority heels, like the rip-financier William Otto.

It will be captivating and morally thoughtful, but sometimes also a little too obvious.
